which is reviewed here, and other communications tools. Ericsson
is a worldwide operater in more than 140 countries. And at present
4 out of every 10 cell phones calls are handled by Ericsson cell
phone equipment.

Nokia is an international telecommunications company operating in
over 40 countries, with production operations in at least 15. Its
Head Office is in Helsinki, Finland. The company supplies telecommunications
systems and equipment for fixed and networks for cell phones. and
is one of the leading suppliers of GSM-based digital cellular networks.
Nokia Cell Phones is Europe's largest and the world's second-largest
manufacturer of cell phones. In this review I'm looking at the popular
Nokia 5165.

»
Motorola is one of the world's leading providers of communications
products and advanced electronic systems and services. Major equipment
businesses include cell phones (including the Motorola Nexus i1000
which is reviewed here) two-way radio, paging and data communications,
personal communications, automotive, defense and space electronics
and computers. Motorola owns more than 120 facilities, approximately
half of which are located in North America, and conducts business
on six continents globally.

Samsung is based in Dallas, Texas, and was established in 1997
to research, develop, and market handheld wireless phones, wireless
communications infrastructure systems, and network products. Samsung
provides phones for several leading providers of wireless carriers,
including Sprint PCS, Bell Mobility, and ATT Wireless. Samsung is
known for it's innovative phone design and functionality.

Kyocera Wireless Corp. is one of the world's leading wireless
phone manufacturers. They focus on developing cool, high-tech products
that can improve people's lives. Their products are both easy to
use and useful. They have also proven to be dependable, quality
phones. They offer many fun and colorful phones that appeal to the
younger market.

That norvegian company founded in 1999 just introduced the MagCom
phone, which combines wireless e-mail with Internet access. Plus
this phone has one of the lowest SAR (radiation) rating: 0.043 (see

Sanyo USA's PCS and cellular products, and Accessories.
Sendo »
A UK-based small cell phone manufacturing company with phones concentrating
on funny features like games and cartoons. Some phones have a ringtone
composer that is compatible with Nokia ringtones.
Siemens »
They are betting strongly on color display and WAP-enabled phones.
Siemens cell phones are not widely available in the USA. They offer
a growing line of various styles and types of wireless phones. Popular
in the UK.
Trium »
Trium is Mitsubishi's European brand name. Maker of one of the Mondo
PDA phone.
